Custom Certificate Design

Never overlook the importance of a black belt certificate. Think of it as your free billboard in a student’s house or an instructor’s school. Often kept and displayed for a lifetime, it should be a branding tool that helps you and your black belts establish their qualifications in people’s mind.

Border Design

We select and design border styles, patterns, and colors that will enhance the look of your logo and certificate. As an extra security feature to deter copying and forging, we incorporate your school name or parts of your logo into the finely detailed decorative design of the borders.

Certificate Translation

We can translate your certificate into Chinese, Japanese, or Korean. Our professional typesetting specialists will make your certificate look as official as those issued by central governments in Asia.

Fill-in Service

We can fill in your student’s name and rank in English and Chinese, Japanese, or Korean. The completed certificate will then be printed in high resolution and securely shipped to you for you to sign and issue to the student. 8-1/2” x 11” to 11” x 17”. $25 to $50.

Background Characters

We can add light color and/or finely detailed background characters that serve as security watermarks for your certificates. This makes copying and forging extra difficult, even with today’s advanced color-copy technology.

Remember:

It is a good branding practice to include your website domain name in everything, including your black belt certificate.

Should I save money by using stock certificate papers?

The price of having professionals design your martial arts certificates can seem quite high—about $1,000 for 500 copies, an average of $2 per certificate.  That’s quite a chunk of money up front.  Many martial arts school owners resort to what at first glance appears less expensive—using stock paper or printing the whole certificate with an inkjet printer.

I always ask school owners to think about the difference between short-term price and long-term cost.

A cheaply made certificate saves you pennies but cost you thousands of dollars yearly. Why? Because a top quality certificate conveys the message that yours is a top quality school. You value your students and you want to give them the best.

That top quality certificate will be proudly displayed and become your billboard at someone’s home or office for years or even a life time to come, at no further cost to you.

Five hundred certificates sounds like a lot, unless you have a long-term view of 10 or 20 years. If you need only 20 certificates this year, do you think you can grow to 30 next year? The fact is, if you issue 20 ranking certificates the first year, 30 the next year, 40 the following year, and grow by only 10 more students per year, in 9 years you will issue a total of 540 certificates.

You can easily spend $1,000 in a couple month dining out, going to Starbucks, watching cable TV, and paying high credit card interest, none of which helps you build your career as a professional martial artist. What if you spent that $1,000 on five hundred concrete advertisements of your professionalism in the form of quality custom certificates? That’s a smart investment, the kind that will be very likely to bring you new students.

Can I order a certificate design and use the same design for school certificates, chief instructor certificates, black belt certificates, and and colorbelt certificates. Would it be possible to have two different sizes, one fr school and the ther for rank, colorbelt would be third smallest size. How much would it cost to set up and how much to have you do the names and mail when we need. thank you.

Response:

Yes, we can design and print a certificate for you and provide you with different templates that you can use to print the text part/fill in. We can also design two certificates (different sizes and/or minor change of design) with only some slight additional fees. The certificate design portion is usually around $600. Printing averages about $.5 to $1 depending on the quantity ordered.

I am interested in creating a new certificate for high level ranks. Can you please send me a sample of your work?
I would like it to be 11×17 size and prefer the Phoenix Dragon border if you have that.
I will supply the exact text (in English). I would like 1 side to be in English and opposite side in Japanese.

regards,
Melanie

Here are a few links that will be helpful. The first shows all of our certificate borders up close so you know exactly what you’re getting. The second shows sample certificates we’ve done for others, and the third gives you more details on the certificate design. You can also use this link to order your certificate.

If I e-mailed you a copy of the certificate that I currently use could you professionalize it and make it a disc that can be editable.

Response:

Yes, that’s what we do.

Hi, I want a certificate printed. I already have a design and would need it copied exactly. I would also need a watermark.
If I can supply an example, can you give me an idea of cost. Also I only need around 12 copies initially (this is so I can get approval from my busines partners). I am from the UK, so could you please give me an idea of shipping cost and timeframes.

I need this info a.s.a.p, so please reply soon.

Response:

We can both copy the certificate exactly and add the watermark with no problem. The design cost is $599 and separate from the number of copies you purchase. We can send you an electronic proof for approval from your business partners prior to printing the certificates. Turn around time and shipping costs are normally 1-2 weeks and $9.95, respectively, but would be a bit higher for you because you’re in the UK. Here is a link that will provide you with additional information on the Custom Certificate and will allow you to place your order.

Do you have certificates larger than 11×17?

Hi, I was wondering what the cost would be if I e-mailed you a copy of a certificate that I currently use and have you professionalize it and make it a disc that can be editable. I was also thinking of having a watermark of Sigung Bruce Lee added.
